Who we are
Venuely ("we") runs the Venuely app and the website venuelyeg.com, which connect customers with event venues, photographers and wedding planners in Egypt. Contact us at [email protected].
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, mobile number and, for businesses, your business name.
- Listings: photos, descriptions, prices, locations and terms that venue hosts, photographers and planners publish.
- Booking requests: the date, guest count, event type, chosen package or add-ons and any message you send.
- Technical data: basic logs needed to keep the service secure and working, such as the time of a request and errors.
How we use it
- To create your account and let you sign in.
- To show listings and send booking requests between customers and businesses.
- To verify phone numbers, prevent abuse and keep the service secure.
- To reply when you contact us.
Who sees it
When you send a booking request, the venue host, photographer or planner receives your name, mobile number and the details of the request so they can reply. Listing information is public. We do not sell your personal data. We use service providers to host the service and to send verification codes, under agreements that protect your data.
Where it is stored
Our servers may be located outside Egypt. Where data is transferred abroad, we do so in line with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020) and its executive regulations.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where the law requires us to keep it longer.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw your consent, by writing to [email protected]. If something goes wrong with your data, we will tell the competent authority and, where required, you.
Changes
We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new date, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
